Schedule the clean after contractors leave and before belongings arrive when possible. Confirm utilities, access, rooms, and any appliance or cabinet interiors you want included.
Before the appointment
Confirm that movers and contractors have finished, utilities are working, and someone can provide access. Remove packing materials and large debris. If cabinetry or the refrigerator will be cleaned inside, empty them first. Share any landlord or property manager checklist before the visit.
Check the overlooked areas
Walk through closets, drawers, baseboards, interior doors, window tracks, and the lower level. Decide which are priorities and which are outside the quote. A newly renovated home may also need a post-construction scope because fine dust settles after work ends.
Protect new finishes
Tell the team about natural stone, specialty floors, newly painted surfaces, and manufacturer care instructions. Cleaning cannot repair construction damage or permanent stains. If the property has unusual residue, send photos in advance rather than assuming ordinary cleaning will remove it.
Our move-in and move-out service is quoted around the property and the work you want included.
A room-by-room order that helps
Start with kitchens and bathrooms because they contain the surfaces you will use immediately. Then inspect bedrooms, closets, living spaces, and floors. Check the entry and staircase for dust moved during the relocation. If the home is completely empty, it is a good opportunity to reach accessible corners before furniture arrives.
Confirm the scope before moving day
Send photos and a list of any appliance interiors, drawers, windows, or basement areas you want included. If movers arrive the same day, allow enough time for cleaning to finish first. Ask who will meet the cleaners, where they can park, and whether a gate or alarm code is required.
After the appointment
Review the completed areas while the details are fresh. If you plan ongoing service, choose the rooms and frequency that fit your new routine.
